This afternoon, following negotiations between His Imperial Majesty Shahanshah of Hasanistan and Emperor of all-Pavlov Iskender IV, Baron Hasan Tradthar-i-falur and a representative of the Chiefdom of Dachenia, a treaty was signed between the Empire of Pavlov and the Chiefdom of Dachenia that settled a recent border dispute between the two nations. The treaty, titled the "Treaty of Iskenderabat" after Hasanistan's capital, saw the Chiefdom of Dachenia cede the territory of Kazakhizia, which is an enclave of Hasanistan, to the Empire of Pavlov. The Pavlovian government has put Kazakhizia under the administration of Hasanistan.
Kazakhizia has strong historical and cultural connections with Hasanistan. Kazakhizia borders Hasanistan's capital Iskenderabat and was established in 2013 as a Viadalvian colony known as Konraq after the Republic of Hasanistan allowed Viadalvia to claim an area bordering it. In 2014, when Hasanistan radically expanded its territorial claim, it allowed Konraq to continue to exist. In 2016, Viadalvia transferred Konraq to Dachenia, who renamed it Kazakhizia, and Hasanistan continued to allow its existance. However, following Hasanistan's annexation by Pavlov in August 2016, Kazakhizia's political status came into question as His Imperial Majesty Shahanshah of Hasanistan and Emperor of all-Pavlov Iskender IV began to pressure Dachenia into giving up Kazakhizia.
Following the signing of the treaty, Kazakhizia is expected to become a beglik of Hasanistan as promised in the treaty. This will make the new territory the smallest beglik of Hasanistan and the new beglik is planned to rechristened the "Beglik of Konraq-Kazakhizia". Although the cession of Kazakhizia will be immediate, Dachenia will be given at most three months to adjust to these changes. This includes time to remove any military presence from the region and registered Dachenian citizens of Kazakhizia being given the option of whether to keep Dachenian citizenship or being awarded Pavlovian citizenship.
